What is a contact or external user? 


Which one is correct for me? 


An internal user is one listed on the admin page in the web interface. These users are selectable by name when sharing or creating tasks. These users can have full permissions on a file, folder or project. They are able to upload files and make changes to them. 


An external user or contact is a user that has a folder or file shared with them, but do not have a full Kenesto account. They can view and download files and folders, but they can NOT save changes to the files or upload new ones. 


Contacts can be managed on the fly, or through the contact list, where you also manage groups. Like internal users, contacts also need to be specifically shared with files / folders / projects otherwise they will not see them. Contacts also recieve an email from Kenesto with a link or links to shared items. The email link contains their authentication and should not be shared with 3rd parties.
