Projects are separate areas for files. Each project is distinctly different from another and the “My files” area.
View each project as a separate filing cabinet drawer. Files are generally not shared between projects but It is possible to create some libraries that are shared across projects for standard componentry.
There is a difference between the My Files area and a project. Projects need to be shared for a user to even know it is present. Once shared, users see all content in the project (none permission only allows view of folder structure, not files)
