Organization Structure Choices

When you’re just starting out, the first decision you need to make is how to structure the team.   Getting this right pays big dividends later.

Method One:

There are two ways to get started: one is to set up a trial organization and then add team members to that organization and then set up the sharing relationships among team members.   These team members are internal and can be provisioned with a full range of sharing privileges.  Contractors or other third parties may also be added as external users with limited sharing privileges.

Method Two:

The second way is to set up multiple trial organizations with one or two members added to each trial organization. Users then set up limited sharing among these members and organizations. After choosing Kenesto, the Admin would then need merge these organizations, then reestablish the sharing relationships.  The merging process is fraught with conflict, file history is lost, and sharing conflicts are rife.

Method One is by far the better practice. It is very difficult to untangle conflicts between sharing relationships with multiple organizations that emerge with Method Two.
